Pakistan , Conspiracies and new scenario building
In this blog i will paste news regarding whats going in with Pakistan, international Conspiracies against Pakistan and Geo political Situation
Ok first of all let examin the whole situation regurding war on terror and Pakistan and Conspiracies against Pakistan
Ok first of all Balochistan Issue, what we saw recently and infact we are watching the whole scene from years and years that Political Governments never take care of this province which is about 40 % of the whole area of Pakistan,Some of the shocking facts about Blochistan
OIL RESERVES: Pakistan as a whole has been estimated to have 300 million barrels of oil reserves. However, according to a report dated October 27, 2006, published by Environment News Service, the offshore and onshore oil reserves of Balochistan alone are estimated to top 6 trillion barrels. Geological factors point to bulk of these reserves to be offshore in the Arabian Sea.

These are some minerals are found in Baluchistan
a) Copper and Gold (Saindak, Koh-I-Sultan Spin Kan) 5th largest gold mine in the world
b) Iron ore (Chilgazi)
c) Marble (Chagai)
d) Onyx
e) Chromite (Muslim Bagh)
f) Fluorite (Koh-I-Maran, Dalbandin)
g) Baryte (Gunga, Kudni, Bankhri)
h) Limestone Dolomite :(Harnai)
i) Gypsum (Spin Tangi)
PROVEN GAS RESERVES: Pakistan has 25.1 trillion cubic feet (cft) of proven gas reserves, of which Balochistan is reported to have 19 trillion cft. Sui gas field has been exploited for over 50 years, and the organisations involved are: State Oil, PPL and Sui Gas Co.
COAL RESERVES- In Pakistan, coal reserve is estimated at 185 billion tons, which, according to Dr. Akram Sheikh (ex-Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission) is equivalent to at least 400 billion barrels of oil, in other words equivalent to the oil reserves of Saudi Arabia and Iran combined. According to the vice chancellor of Punjab University, Professor Dr. Mujahid Kamran, these coal reserves equal to 618 billion barrels of crude oil.
Ok that was about resources of Balochistan ok now come to Gawadar project,Iran Build a port to destroy the gawader project that port is call Charbagh port and the of the most shocking facts are that Iranian build that port with the support of India, and indians are building network of roads in blochistan and iran to make iranian port project a successful project,Recently Indians build a new high way which is about 100 Km in Afghanistan to support the business of Charbahg Iranian port which will linked with Land lock countries of Central asia, actually this was our project in fact it is our project to link Gawader port with Central Asian countries,Now what they did with indians they made their own port which is very close to Gawader port to destroy our project, Ok lets talk about iranian involvement in blochistan well i cant say any thing clearly because i havent prof but today out our Interior advisor said that Ghulam Muhammad killed in Turbat was wanted by Iran and Iran government had asked for his handing over ( means that recently 3 baloch leader were killed in balochistan amoung them 1 was iranian from Charbahg and was wanted by Iran so these thing shows some thing fishy fishy )
ok Now About Barmdad Issue,Baramdad bugti the son of Akbar bugti is in Afghanistan living near the palace of Afghan president,he recently said that we want free blochistan and we need indian and american help to liberate Balochistan and this statement is on record also published in so many news papers and about baramdad bugti and its Army BLA ( Baloch libration army ) Today our advisor to interior ministry said that BLA was formed by Russia and India and india is supporting them today and he quoted that we have documentary evidence and about this man Baramdad Bugti recently Ex president Musharaf said in india in a conference that we have Documentary evidence about Baramdad Bugti when he came in Dehli we have all, so now i think u may get some picture of the whole issue whats going on in Balochistan
ok one more thing you people may saw the new map of pakistan in which there is a Greater blochistan yes indeed a blochistan a new country, well if we take a look at the fact what i provided above tells us that they are heading toward greater blochistan, which is full of Oil and Coal reserves, 40 % of Pakistan etc. so these are some facts what i thought i should share with you people now you come to know that because of some horrible facts blochistan is burning

Says govt ready to accept all Baloch demands except independence
By Mumtaz Alvi
ISLAMABAD: The government on Wednesday startled the Senate by saying that Russia and India were supporting the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in its secession bid, saying the same outfit had kidnapped UNHCR official John Solecki.
Making a policy statement while winding up the five-day debate that in fact continued for three days, excluding Saturday and Sunday, on the killing of there Baloch leaders and the deteriorating law and order in Balochistan, Adviser to Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik claimed they had proof of foreign involvement in the province.
Rehman Malik, later talking to media persons outside the Parliament House, called on India to stop its interference in Balochistan, dubbing it an open enemy of Pakistan. He noted that the proposal of reviving the ‘Sardari system’ in the province was being considered. He added the FC had been put under the chief minister and all the 36 FC checkposts had been removed.
The adviser made a revelation that the BLA chief Brahamdagh Khan Bugti lived close to Afghan President Hamid Karzai’s presidential palace in Kabul and enjoyed local support. He added thousands of Baloch students had got training in Russia and were present in Balochistan.
Rehman Malik pointed out that 4,000 to 5,000 Baloch people had got training in several centres there and added he would share more details with the legislators during the in-camera proceedings of the House, slated for Thursday at 12:30 pm.
His speech was interrupted several times by Mahabat Khan Marri, Dr Abdul Malik and Mir Hasil Bazenjo, who rejected some of his contentions, particularly about the alleged terrorist role of Sher Muhammad Baloch’, who was one of the three Baloch leaders recently murdered and their mutilated bodies found afterwards. At one stage, they staged a token walkout against the advisor’s remarks.
Malik noted that the BLA had kidnapped Solecki in order to highlight what he called their totally unjustified and uncalled for demand of freedom from Pakistan. He said he had the transcription and contact numbers, while intercepting calls during which the BLA chief was asking his people in the province about ‘the red goat’ - a code name for Solecki - and asking for his shifting to some other location, as the government had got clue of the place, where he was being kept.
“Solecki was abducted two days before UN Secretary General’s Pakistan visit to project BLA’s bid for freedom. On the basis of evidence, I met Karzai and sought his help for the repatriation of Brahamdagh or stopping him from what he was doing back in Pakistan, but he expressed his government’s ignorance about his presence there,” the adviser said.
The adviser said he also asked Karzai to stop the misuse of Afghan soil against Pakistan, as daily 45,000-50,000 people cross over to Pakistan from Bajaur, Chaman and Torkham. This was in addition to the hostile foreign agencies active against Pakistan, he added.
Then, Rehman said the government apprised the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon of the situation and sought his assistance. Then Ban talked to Karzai and this led to the freeing of Solecki.
About the BLA, he pointed out it was raised and funded by the then USSR and supported by India, then it went dormant and got active following the martyrdom of ex-governor Nawab Akbar Bugti. He added the BLA and some other outfits enjoyed foreign support.
The adviser noted that the BLA chief had recently himself in an interview to a local channel, conceded they were being supported by India and that he had sought UN and some other countries backing also.
Out rightly rejecting the BLA demand, Rehman made it clear that the government was ready to accept all the demands of people of Balochistan, barring independence, which did not enjoy the majority support. He talked of conspiracy of destabilising Balochistan, the NWFP and Northern Areas.
The adviser, who became a senator in March, said under a well-conceived ploy, the three Baloch leaders were murdered and then systematically 14 settlers were killed in the ensuing violence.
He questioned how those who resorted to the killings of innocent settlers managed to possess and then use hand grenades, Kalashnikovs and missiles, whereas the people of the province were peaceful and normal. But the real conspiracy was to breakdown law and order there.
He claimed that after the inception of a new government last year, no military operation in any part of Balochistan was under way. After the series of measures and steps the government had taken, the situation in the province was improving and in this connection, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani had played a very crucial role.
He proposed formation of a senators’ committee, which would oversee working of the investigations, being carried on with reference to the murder of three Baloch leaders.
Rehman noted that Iran, through a letter, had sought repatriation of Sher Muhammad for his indulgence in terrorist activities there. Sher, he said was an Iranian citizen of Chabahar, who later got Pakistani citizenship.
This led to massive agitation from some senators from Balochistan, forcing the adviser to leave the topic and offering to give an in-camera briefing. However, he said it was time to act together and make a distinction between what was insurgency and what were Balochistan’s genuine problems.
About many senators’ allegations that local spy agencies were involved in Balochistan problems, he said the government was prepared to look into it, if any one had credible evidence. He ruled out the possibility of the agencies’ role in the murder of Baloch leaders.Later, Dr Abdul Malik contended that the problems of Balochistan should not be linked to India and Russia.
Lashkari Raisani of PPP said though he belonged to the government side, but would like to say that the agencies also tend to sometime mislead the government on certain matters. He said it were the personnel of agencies, which looted his home and later set it on fire during ex-president Pervez Musharraf’s rule.
On a point of order by Mushahidullah Khan, Rehman Malik regretted that India had talked of the possibility of Taliban attack during the Indian elections, but did not respond to Pakistan’s offer of a joint effort to tackle the issue.
He complained that India had also failed to respond to 32 questions, Pakistan had forwarded to it regarding the Mumbai attacks. So much, so, the DNA results of both Kasab and Sohail were identical, which could be a possibility only if they were twins.
PPI adds: Rehman Malik said that besides the political forces representing the province in the Parliament, the government is also in contact with those who have no representation in the Parliament to seek their input in resolving the present situation.
He said the government is considering NFC award keeping in view the backwardness and area of the provinces besides the population. Rehman Malik regretted that the Afghan government did not facilitate him to have a meeting with Baloch leader Barhamdakh Bugti, who is a grandson of Nawab Akbar Bugti so that their grievances are taken care of.
Reuters adds: Rehman Malik accused Afghanistan and India of supporting ethnic Baloch separatists fighting in the resource-rich province of Balochistan.
Pakistan has in the past accused old rival India of meddling in Balochistan but Wednesday’s comments were the most explicit for years and come after a deterioration in ties over a militant attack in Mumbai.
[Guys this is a policy statement of pakistan Government means at last Pakistani Government show some courage to speak against india]
Ok guys here is the son of b*tch we are looking for...The Indian agent must watch interview of Barhamdakh Bugti on aaj tv

Conspiracies against Pakistan won’t succeed, says FO Foreign Office
* Spokesman criticises Israeli foreign minister’s remarks
* Says govt will facilitate students facing deportation from Britain
By Sajjad Malik
ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office (FO) has said that international conspiracies being hatched to malign and isolate Pakistan will not succeed.
Addressing a weekly press briefing, FO spokesman Abdul Basit criticised the ‘unwarranted remarks on Pakistan’ by the Israeli foreign minister, who has said “Israel feels a strategic threat at the hands of Pakistan”, not Iran.
“Pakistanis are a resilient, moderate and progressive nation, and efforts to malign or isolate Pakistan will not succeed,” said Basit.
He said that a recent meeting of the ‘Friends of Pakistan’ forum in Tokyo had clearly demonstrated that the international community fully supported Pakistan in the war on terror.
Basit said that Pakistan had positive expectations from a tripartite conference to be held next month in the US. Basit acknowledged that Pakistan and the US had differences over drone attacks in the Tribal Areas, and Pakistan would reiterate its stance to Washington at the trilateral meeting next month. He said that during his visit to the US, President Asif Ali Zardari would also talk about US aid for Pakistan and a ‘campaign against the ISI’.
He said problems in Pakistan were part of the spillover effect of the long-standing conflict in Afghanistan, but Pakistan was committed to face and solve them.
The spokesman said the Swat agreement was a ‘local solution to a local problem’, and its implementation would bring peace and stability in the region.
Replying to a question about the possibility of Taliban entering Islamabad, he said, “I have nothing to say at this stage.” Basit called terrorism a ‘complex one’, and said there was a need for well-integrated strategies to tackle it.
He said Pakistan was in touch with the British authorities over issues related to students who were detained in the UK on terror charges and subsequently released. “We understand that the British government wants to deport these students to Pakistan. We will help these students in case they want to legally contest their removal from Britain,” he said. However, he refused to say if Pakistan would seek an apology from Britain.
The spokesman said Pakistan was carefully evaluating the security implications of India’s launch of a spy satellite.
“We are also mindful of the challenges posed to our security by the induction of new technology and weapons by India ... and the implications of the Indian satellite already launched are being evaluated,” the spokesman told the press briefing.
“There should be no doubt that Pakistan is fully capable of safeguarding its security. Our resolve and resilience are unshakable,” he added.

Red Alert -- CIA planning another 9 / 11 and then they will come after Pakistan !!
The trap is being set now once again to blame Pakistan for another 9/11. This time, US will NOT ask "are you with us or against us" because the target this time would be Pakistan itself !! We as a nation to forge unity within our ranks and rise to this new Obama threat !!
The warnings of a new terrorist attack on US shores are accelerating: Iran recruiting homicide bombers to attack the US, Britain becoming a staging area for al Qaeda, Arab press reporting that Usama Bin Laden was planning an attack that would dwarf 9/11 are all headlines from the last few weeks. Now according to the Times of London, both British and US Homland security have warned President-elect Barack Obama that there is a HUGE threat of a spectacular al Qaeda attack during the Presidental transition.
Lord West of Spithead, the Home Office Security Minister, spoke recently of a “huge threat”, saying: “There is another great plot building up again and we are monitoring this.”

Pakistan could collapse in six months: Kilcullen
Centcom adviser warns Pakistan in danger; says Pak security services a rogue state within a state.
WASHINGTON: The Pakistani state could collapse within six months if immediate steps are not taken to remedy the situation, warned a top adviser to the US Central Command.
David Kilcullen, who advises CENTCOM commander Gen. David H. Petraeus on the war on terror, urged US policymakers to focus their attention on Pakistan as a failure there could have devastating consequences for the entire international community.
In an interview with The Washington Post (Sunday Edition), Kilcullen, who is credited with the success of the US troop surge strategy in Iraq, warned that if Pakistan went out of control, it would ‘dwarf’ all the crises in the world today. “Pakistan hands down. No doubt,” he said when asked to name the central front in the war against terror.
Asked to explain why he thought Pakistan was so important, Kilcullen said: “Pakistan has 173 million people, 100 nuclear weapons, an army bigger than the US Army, and al-Qaeda headquarters sitting right there in the two-thirds of the country that the government doesnÃt control.”
He claimed that the Pakistani military and police and intelligence service did not follow the civilian government; they were essentially a rogue state within a state. “Were now reaching the point where within one to six months we could see the collapse of the Pakistani state, also because of the global financial crisis, which just exacerbates all these problems,” he said. “The collapse of Pakistan, al-Qaeda acquiring nuclear weapons, an extremist takeover — that would dwarf everything we’ve seen in the war on terror today.”

The Biggest Traitor of Pakistan: MEDIA
What ever you are watching on a Pakistani TV channel or on some international channel, you see the same picture; that Pakistan may be taken over by Taliban. Baluchistan is burning in fire etc etc....
When we analyze all this situation we come to know that there is a planned disinformation game that is being played with Pakistan. Pakistani media is purposfully discussing these core issues and elaborating issues out of context. Pakistani media is letting people of Pakistan realize that Pakistan is not a stable country, its going to collapse and bla bla...... every time showing the negative and bad image of Pakistan. Just showing disturbance.
Why are they doing so?? the answer is very simple....... they are just making the mind of Pakistanis that if some thing bad happens to Pakistan, people do not resist as they already knew that the circumstances in Pakistan were bad and it was expected to happen.
All the media giants of Pakistan are considered to be foreign funded. they in the name of freedom of speech providing a dis service to Pakistan.
people of Pakistan are very emotional, almost half of the population is illetarte, they cannot understand and analyze the mischieves made to them.... so they accept what ever is shown to them on television.
the recently elected democratic government is a bundle of corrupt leaders facing a long wall of China of Corrutption. they are not in a position to put any restriction on media, so no one is here to control these mad bulls...
let us do not present Pakistan as a failure to Pakistanis...... Do not care about the foreigners, we first have to let the Pakistanis know and understand their potential and the significance of Pakistan for them, let them tell, Don't be so commercial and mean when it comes to PAKISTAN
Conspiracy against Pakistan by AFGHANIS
The doomsday scenarios painted by American think tanks, researchinstitutes, and intellectuals and studies sponsored the US Department of State that Pakistan will disappear in twenty years must not be taken lightly.
It would be wise to take these as timely warnings which must be analysed to establish if these are fiction or fact.
Such forecasts as propaganda ploys are not new.
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Vallahbahi Patel, Kirpalani and other leaders of the Indian National Congress had predicted that “the truncated state of Pakistan”, will collapse and fall apart within two to five years.
They said that Pakistan was not economically, geographically, politically, racially or culturally viable.
New Delhi’s refusal at the outset to hand over Pakistan’s share of central funds and assets was a motivated move to ensure Pakistan’s economic collapse.
It did not happen because Pakistani nation took up the challenge, and with fortitude and hardwork helped build a strong Pakistan, which has survived the vicissitudes of political failures and military interventions.
To destabilise and subvert the new state India invaded Jammu and Kashmir in October 1947, and actively funded and supported the Pushtoonistan stunt.
The people of Kashmir supported by their Pakistani brothers confronted and successfully halted Indian military aggression in Kashmir.
The Red Shirt movement under Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan and the fiery anti-Pakistan propaganda by the Kabul regime continued for about three decades, i.e.
till the Red Army was defeated and thrown out of Afghanistan by the valiant Afghan Mujahidin.
The Afghan regime under king Zahir Shah was the only country which on Indian prodding opposed Pakistan’s entry into the United Nations in August 1947.
The three wars(1948-49, 1965 and 1971) were imposed by India to defeat and destroy Pakistan.
Indian intelligence agencies, especially RAW, has been engaged since long in violent subversive activities to create social and political unrest.
The motivated hate campaign against Pakistan Army and allegations against ISI are part of the ongoing Indian game plan to discredit Pakistan and its armed forces.
India and Israel have been discussing since long plans to subvert Pakistani polity and economy, and tarnish its image by utterly false propaganda of close association and involvement with the ongoing eleven-year old freedom struggle in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The canard by Robert M.
Kaplan that Pakistan will disintegrate in 15 to 20 years because it had inherited the most problem-prone part of the sub-continent fits into India’s evil wish list.
Kaplan in his article published by “The Atlantic Monthly” for September 2000 surmises that Pakistan is unlikely to survive as a state for several reasons including disparities between provinces, fallout of the Afghan conflict, Karachi situation and the institutional meltdown.
Ashley Tellis a Rand researcher of Indian origin, visualises a US-India nexus against Pakistan.
That India is already a major factor in US defence policy making, and US will soon see India as a partner of choice against Pakistan.
A US Commission on National security, chaired by former Senator Warren Rudman and Gary Hart projects several different scenarios including a conflict over Afghanistan and possible breakup of Pakistan due to ethnic discontents with India emerging to regional pre-eminence by the year 2025.
Scenario one visualises that Sindhis, Baluchs and Pathans have long resented Punjabi dominated Pakistan and along with the Mohajirs they will all rebel.
This scenario is not new.
The so called nationalist leaders with narrow and highly prejudiced views have been engaged since long in fuelling and stoking regionalism, provincialism and sectarian, linguistic and ethnic acrimony.
Paid enemy agents are busy fuelling and fomenting inter-provincial strife by a contrived highly derogatory propaganda against Punjab and the “Punjabi establishment” to grind their own axes at the cost of national unity and stability.
These wise American Brahmins forecast that Talibans destabilisation efforts and the growing power of Jamaat-e- Islami will push Pakistan towards anarchy and disintegration.
But such assumptions to say the least are incorrect, because while the Taliban are engaged in the war against the US-India- Russian funded, and supported Northern Alliance; Jamaat-i-Islami in fact is engaged in a Herculean effort to save Pakistan from internal chaos and anarchy.
Jamaat-i-Islami’s political influence does not suit Indo-Russian- US designs against Pakistan.
Pushtoonistan stunt fuelled by Moscow and New Delhi died in 1979 when the Red Army invaded Afghanistan.
By 1989 five million Afghan refugees were forced out of their homes and pushed into Pakistan.
By 1989 when the Red Army was defeated and thrown out and finally by 1992 when the Communist regime was overthrown in Kabul, very few Afghans or Pushtoons wanted to talk of Pushtoonistan which by then had died a natural death.
Moscow and New Delhi had themselves destroyed this anti-Pakistan trump card, and are once again engaged in conspiracies against Taliban ruled Afghanistan and Army ruled Pakistan.
During the last 53 years the Pushtoons of NWFP, Balochistan and FATA have gradually integrated themselves into Pakistan’s polity and economy.
Hundreds of thousands of Afghans who have chosen not to return to Afghanistan are benefiting hugely from trade and transportation business.
By participating very actively in commercial, trade, smuggling and transportation activities the Pushtoons have a huge stake in Pakistan’s economy and security.
The economic and commercial benefits from trade and smuggling have enabled the Pushtoons and Afghans today control 80% of long haulage transportation, ninety percent of tankers, fifty percent flour mills, and entire import and export business to Afghanistan, Iran and beyond.
With fair share in the construction industry, agriculture, trade and national economy the Pushtoons today have a stake in Pakistan’s economy and security.
Fifty percent of the officers and men in uniform in the armed forces, para-military forces, police and bureaucracy are Pathans.
In the NWFP with the ethnic ratio of 51%, 90% government jobs are held by ethnic Pushtoons.
Similarly in Balochistan with 35 % population about eighty percent government posts are held by the Pushtoons.
They have total hold over Baluchistan’s mineral resources especially coal and marble mines.
They own most of the fruit orchards in that province.
Pathans also figure prominently in the banking, federal bureaucracy and every other profitable sector.
The Pushtoons never had it so good, yet some of them carry uncalled grouse against the Punjabis, which is because of illiteracy and insufficient social mix.
Intermarriages between Punjabis and Pathans is one way of solving this problem.
Such marriages by and large have proved successful.
The danger of religious fanaticism, sectarianism, Talibanisation and tribal and ethnic passions wrecking Pakistan is an appropriate warning.
Ethnic and sectarian passions could be fomented beyond control by illiterate Ulema-e-Karam and foreign funded politicians.
The Jehadi militant organisations are flouting the law of the land when preaching extremism and anarchy.
They are benefiting from undue publicity and government’s attitude of looking the other way when the Jehadis flex their muscles by provocative rallies.
The United States especially the US Department of State assumes that Jehadis have support of the Army regime for their activities inside and outside the country.
US officials including Secretary of State Medeline Albright, Karl Inderfurth are vocal about it and this has brought a very bad name to Pakistan.
They allege that the Jehadis are being encouraged by the State, while in their view they should be discouraged and their activities should be kept under check.
The adverse propaganda and wrong conclusions about Pakistan’s future are because of the deeping rifts between fanatic and extremist religious, sectarian, tribal and ethnic armed outfits and their propaganda against the Pakistan state, its rulers, cabinet ministers and its institutions.
Fanatic Maulvis in their sermons to captive audience have ridiculed every reform for the Army regime including its success in getting IMF approval of $ 596 million credit.
This creates frustration and low morale and has to be stopped.
Their dangerous activities should be controlled by proper strategy, persuasive pressure and firm governance.
Politicians and bureaucrats on the run from the law have amassed big fortunes through corruption including massive loan defaults.
They never had any scruples and many of them are in the pay of foreign governments and agencies.
They are being used to run down the government and create ethnic and sectarian strife and anarchy.
The Army government has taken note of their mischief, but it is important that the masses weigh their hate filled rhetoric carefully and comprehend their motives in criticising the “Punjabi establishment” or evil pronouncements that “only the Army needs Pakistan”.
These turn coats are the real enemy.
They are more dangerous than the enemy.
The country is passing through difficult times.
But with the support and hard work of the masses, resilience and dedication of the regime especially successful implementation of the devolution plan Pakistan once again will get back on the democracy track.
The Army will go back to the barracks, and the people will once again become their own masters.
The ill-wishers will be distraught and disappointed when this happens.

DRONE(UAVs) MADE IN PAKISTAN
Looking at the facility from outside, no one would guess what goes on within the 90,000-square-foot research facility of Integrated Dynamics (ID), a privately owned company in Karachi. There are no signboards indicating that ID is in the business of developing drone technology for military and civilian use. Surprisingly, there isn’t even an army of security guards manning the complex as one would expect upon entering the gate. A lonesome gate keeper lets us in without a fuss.
Even more startling is the ease with which R.S. Khan, ID's chief executive, states that ‘drone technology has existed in Pakistan for the last 20 years.’
Khan, who graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a master's degree in aeronautics and astronautics, is quick to clarify that his company has ‘never been asked to develop a drone which has an armed implication.’ Instead, ID develops advanced Unmanned Autonomous Vehicle (UAV) systems capable of reconnaissance missions as well as target decoys for anti-aircraft missiles. His customers, he says, include the armed forces of the country as well as foreign buyers from the US, Australia, Spain, Italy and France.
Although he may not have been asked to develop an armed drone, Khan, who previously worked as a consultant for Pakistan’s aerospace agency Suparco, points out: ‘If we consider the fact that drone development has been taking place in Pakistan for the last 20 years, I think the technology for flying long-range autonomous missions has existed for at least 10-12 years.’
Given Khan's estimations about local drone development, it is unclear why Pakistan is asking the US to handover its armed drone technology, especially that of the infamous Predator. President Asif Ali Zardari recently told the British daily Independent that the US should give Pakistan the ‘weapons, drones and missiles that will allow us to take care of’ the militant threat in the tribal areas.'
If you ask anyone in Pakistan involved in the business of making unmanned UAVs whether something similar to the Predator drone aircraft can be made, the answer would be yes,' explains Khan. 'I won’t say we can make it overnight or by tomorrow. But I won’t say either that it is a matter of decades. I would say that, if given the task, we can make such aircrafts in a few years.' As a technologist, Khan is hesitant to speculate as to why the Pakistan government or armed forces are not investing in home-made technology. 'I think you need to ask the policy makers that.'
UAVs in Pakistan
Interestingly, there are several public sector companies involved in developing UAVs in Pakistan, including the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), Air Weapons Complex (AWC) and National Development Complex (NDC).
The PAC's Uqaab drone is in use by the Pakistan Army, and, according to unconfirmed reports, is being upgraded with Chinese help to carry a weapons payload. Other PAC UAVs include the Bazz and Ababeel. AWC's Bravo+ UAV is in use of the Pakistan Airforce (PAF). The PAF recently acquired an unarmed Italian drone called the Falco UAV, which is reportedly being used for surveillance and battleground assessments in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas. In 2008, the Pakistan Navy also reportedly completed trials of UAVs - the Austrian Schiebel Camcopter S-100 and Swedish Cybaero - from a Pakistani frigate in the Arabian Sea.
Private sector companies are also involved in the design and development of UAVs. Apart from ID in Karachi, East-West Infinity (EWI), Satuma and Global Industrial Defense Solutions (GIDS) are in the drone-making business.
The EWI's Heliquad UAV is considered a stealth design because of its small size and Whisper Watch signals intelligence package, which is capable of picking up radio and other communication signals. ID's Nishan Mk1 and TJ1000, Vision MK1 & MK2, Tornado, Border Eagle, Hornet, Hawk and Vector are also popular models employed by the armed forces for reconnaissance missions and target practice (each model varies in range and endurance). Satuma's UAVs, with similar functionalities, are called Flamingo, Jasoos and Mukhbar. For its part, the GIDS develops the Huma-1 UAV and its own version of the Uqaab.
Even though almost all UAVs in the country have been built for military applications - reconnaissance, simulations, decoy systems, remote sensing - none of them are reported to be capable of firing arms. Moreover, none of the above-mentioned facilities are involved in large-scale, mass production of UAVs.
Policy on drones
It is still not clear what Pakistan’s policy regarding unmanned drones is. On the one hand, Pakistan has ‘condemn[ed] in the strongest terms’ any US drone attack. On the other hand, reports have emerged that the US has the tacit approval of the current government.
Previously, former president Pervez Musharraf had reportedly authorized Washington to launch Predator drones from secret bases near Islamabad and Jacobabad. Google Earth images of an airbase in Balochistan hosting Predators had also emerged at a time when Pakistan was adamantly claiming that all drones were flying in from Afghanistan. More recently, the Pakistan Army ‘practiced’ shooting down drones, but even then, foreign aircrafts continued to rain in their missiles.
ID's Khan explains that shooting down drones to prevent attacks is a viable option. ‘From a technical standpoint, all it takes is a simple air-to-air or surface-to-air missile to bring the drone down. Almost all of these aircrafts have a very low radar signature. But they’re not undetectable. They can be detected,' he says. 'The question really is whether one wants to bring one down or not.'
Drones vs. casualties
According to news reports, US drone attacks have killed around 701 people in Pakistan since 2006, including 14 alleged Al Qaeda leaders. Although armed UAVs or drones provide safety to their operators since they cannot be harmed if the aircraft are shot down during combat operations, they come at the cost of scores of civilian casualties, who bear the brunt of aerial raids. Therefore, it is debatable whether the armed drones, even if built and controlled by Pakistan, would actually make a difference in terms of changing the sentiment of the people against their devastating impact.
The way forward
Apart from their use in a military context, there is a need to deploy UAVs for the benefit of Pakistani communities. UAVs abroad are being used for a variety of civilian services, including search and rescue operations, environmental analysis, assisting local law enforcers, scientific research and even transport. Situational awareness about a potentially hazardous or calamity-hit areas, for example, in the aftermath of an earthquake, could also be gained through the use of such systems.
The responsibility of implementing this vision rests not only with the companies that develop UAVs, but also with government bodies that should utilise drones to improve their image and efficiency. After all, drones are not exclusively killing machines.

Today’s situation , Blame no one else but our own selves
Dear brothers and sisters!
I would like to raise a fact that we all neglect, ignore while living our lives anywhere in the world. It is regarding the today’s extremely hostile condition of Muslims all over the world especially if we look into our country and its foreign and internal threats. Today, if we look into our social problems, we can find ourselves surrounded in so many issues like, inflation, electricity crises, food crises, poverty, increases of oil prices,(internal)…and (in International arena), terrorism, ,drone attacks, mass killing, system failures and every where ciaos it seems . In its return, we are making different excuses as we have the habit of blaming others for all the bad and putting ourselves on top for anything good happens.
Today we are blaming, US , Taliban, etc. for the terror attacks, destruction, unidentified militants for violation of peace. For the inflation, food problem, oil, electricity, water, everything else, we easily blame the government. While cruising one and other, we neglects the fact that, the reason we are being In this position is not because of some one else but when we look into, we finds no one is guilty then our own selves.
The importance of Quran in our daily lives is because it teaches us the exact lesson from the lives of Allah’s chosen prophets who had many difficult times then what we are having now. Yet, how they reacted to it, it is worth learning.
When people in boat with Prophet Younus (A.S,) [Jonah], who threw him out of the boat, and latter, a big wale swallowed him. What he has said? Did he blame the people of the boat? That may God destroy them, because of those people, I have been thrown into the ocean, oh God ! Punish them, not me. Or did he blame the Wale who swallowed him? That, Oh God! Curse the wale and destroy it, who has taken me into itself.
NO!the lesson Quran teaches, that he was sincere to himself, he new that it is not anyone’s mistake but his own self, and later he said sorry in one of the most supreme manner, mentioned in the , Quran,
(There is no other GOD but Allah and he is most merciful, but I am the one who have been cruel to my own self.) [21:87]
And from the story of Prophet Adam (A.S).He was told not to take a fruit from the tree, but he did, but actually it was his wife who asked him to take, as she was herself diverted by Satan which made Adam to pluck out the fruit from the tree. But when Adam was punished and was send to earth for the given time (this life), he cried a lot on what he has done. So, what he did? Did he argue Allah to punish his wife who made her do that, or has he said, punish Satan who misguided them? No! He was also sincere to himself and straightaway asks forgiveness considering himself along with his wife, who was the wrong doers, and prayed.
"Our Lord ! we have wronged ourselves. If you forgive us not and have not mercy on us, surly we are of the lost." [7:23]
These are two of the many lesson Quran teaches us , we need to look into ourselves, see how much we are indulged in, telling lies ,backbites , frauds , adultery , and many haram (prohibited) things we do , and when we get problems because of our own actions, instead of being sorry for what we do, we feel comfortable, relax, enjoy. Consider following religion, is my personal matter, no one can ask me or help me (saving me from hell’s fire) , but when it comes to have Chill, party, concerts, clubbing, many of the people likes not to share, but to take them for having fun. But when God stretches our rope we start blaming, every other person, every other party, other leaders, US, Government, all other second or third party except the one who needs to be blamed first , that is our own selves .
Muslim means the one who Obays , today many of us are such, that what God ask us to Obay like five times pray in a day, make relationship with opposite gender in halal manner (that is marriage) , take care of poor, etc, We do not DO. And those which God ordered us, “NOT TO DO” do not tell lie, do not have close relationship with opposite gender (bf /gf), do not do Interest based financial activates, we all are busy in them. Still call ourselves, Obayer (mulims).
Therefore unless we do not correctly blame ourselves, there is no way we go to changing our selves, which is the main cause of our social and personal problems. May Allah make us think about it, and may we be sincere to ourselves and our actions and get his forgiveness ,Please share this with others as well, may Allah accepts our efforts, Ameen.
